Electropolishing

Electropolishing (EP) is defined as electrochemical polishing or electrolytic polishing. It is an electrochemical process that removes material from a metallic substrates. The purpose of this finishing is to polish, passivate, and deburr metal parts. EP is often referred as the reverse of electroplating. It may be used instead of abrasive fine polishing in microstructural preparation.
